Owen's got plenty of options for the smaller days at Saquarema in his Monsta 6's (both HYFI and PU), but with good, clean conditions on offer, he's been dominating with the extra drive and hold of his Forget Me Not! At 6'3" / 76kg, he rides a FMN round tail 6'3" x 19" x 2 3/8" x 29.3L. Clip Peter King

A couple of 6'3" weapons - O and his favourite FMN. From the points and reefs of the Aus leg, to Brazil's beachies, this model's been a massive go-to for Owen so far this year. Expect to see plenty more of it in Fiji too! Photo Ryan Miller
Joel, tearing into the Saquarema right-hander. Throughout the contest so far he's been riding a new Monsta 6 that JS made him for Brazil - 6'0" x 18 7/8" x 2 3/8" x 28.3L (he's 6'0" / 81kg). Photo Trevor Moran
Fred may have lost a tight round three heat to Julian, but he still throw down a couple of highlights of his own. At 6'1" / 81kg, one of his go-to Monsta 6's is 6'0" x 19" x 2 7/16" x 28.5L. Photo Trevor Moran
After smashing his round one heat Jezza went down to an in-form Parko, but with Fiji up next, he's set to be right back in the winner's circle! At 5'9" / 68kg, he rides a 5'9 1/2" x 18 1/4" x 2 1/4" x 24.5L Monsta 6. Photo Trevor Moran
Sal's backhand has always been one of her weapons, even in broken-up beachbreaks. At 5'7" / 57kg, her regular Monsta 6 for everyday high performance waves is 5'8 1/2" x 17 5/8" x 2 3/16" x 22.3L. Photo Trevor Moran.
After another solid semi-finals finish, Sal heads into Fiji at number three in the world with a bunch of huge performances under her belt. Time to get tubed! Photo Ryan Miller
From running lefts to rampy rights, Saquarema's had plenty of room for entertainment so far! Jules, tail high on his way to a round four match-up with Owen. Photo Trevor Moran
Board to board and heat to heat, J-Dub's been killing it so far in Brazil. The earlier rounds saw clean, punchy surf with his go-to being a Monsta 6, while round four's drop in swell prompted a switch to his favourite Air 17 from Sydney's Aus Open. With Owen taking the win in their epic non-elimation matchup, Jules is heading into round five with a couple of solid favourites to deal with whatever the forecast holds. Dims, below:
MONSTA 6 - 6'0" x 18 3/4" x 2 7/16" x 28.1L
AIR 17 - 6'0 1/2" x 18 3/4" x 2 3/8" x 28.2L
Jules' favourite Air 17 has already seen a perfect 10 and a final in Sydney, plus a bunch of fin throws and sharp rail work in Rio. Hopefully more to come! Photo Ryan Miller
Ace, giving us a bit of insight into the board that helped him through to the quarters! Like Julian, Bucho changed up his equipment for round four's smaller conditions, going with his favourite HYFI from the Gold Coast (Monsta 6 - 5'10" x 18 5/8" x 2 3/8" x 25.5L). Clip Peter King
After riding a bunch of HYFIs in the off season, Ace's been addicted to the new tech when the conditions are right! His Saquarema boards, below (he's 5'9" / 76kg):
