Trestles Warm Ups

More board testing at the San Clemente circus. While Ace will probably be on his standard 5'11" when the contest kicks off in decent waves, he usually drops an inch or so in the types of surf we saw for the warm ups - 5'10 x 18 5/8" x 2 5/16" x 26L Monsta 6. Photo Ryan Miller

Jeremy's gotta have one of the best body torque wraps on tour. Just look at this thing! At 5'9" / 68kg, Jezza rides a 5'8 1/2" x 18 3/8" x 2 1/4" x 24.1L Monsta 6. Photo Ryan Miller

Ryan's equally comfortable burying rail or throwing fins (and usually most of his body). For most steeper waves, even when small, he loves his Forget Me Nots (think Snapper, West Aus etc), but for Trestles, the extra versatility of the Monsta 6 is first choice. He's 6'0" / 80kg and rides 6'0" x 18 7/8" x 2 3/8" x 28.1L. Photo Trevor Moran

Sal's been loving her shortboards and step downs in HYFI when the waves don't have a lot of push, and for smaller Trestles, she's getting her campaign underway with a Monsta 6 in the new tech at 5'8" x 17 7/8" x 2 3/16" x 22.5L (she's 5'7" / 57kg).

Endless possibilities for a seemingly endless repertoire... Julian loves Trestles and Trestles seems to love him right back. Photo Trevor Moran

In Jules' warmups he's been riding a mix of Air 17s and Monsta 6s at 6'0 1/2" x 18 3/4" x 2 3/8" (approx. 28L), with a few brand new sleds alongside favourites from places like Jbay. And in this frame, it's not exactly hard to see why... Photo Ryan Miller
