BOARD OVERVIEW

THE LATEST AND GREATEST IN OUR LONG LINE OF SUPER GROVELERS

Our unparalleled epoxy technology, HYFI, is a unique multi-layer construction that feels like nothing else out there. Think of it as a futuristic exoskeleton for a surfboard that allows it to be lighter and stronger than ever before, while still maintaining the ideal spring-loaded flex for maximum performance. Now, in the last 5 years since it was first released, we’ve taken everything learned to improve each aspect – the performance, flex, speed, materials used and manufacturing processes.

The Flame Fish is designed for surfers who want to get the most out of even the weakest conditions. Whether you’re dedicated, or just downright desperate for waves, the Flame Fish sits apart in your quiver to maximise speed and ability to throw down manoeuvres. It’s not a jack of all trades, but the master of one – the small stuff.

A wide nose outline combined with a smooth, flat rocker gives you the extra paddle power and glide we all want in weak surf, complemented by a generous distribution of volume under the chest / front foot. A deeper single to double concave provides plenty of lift and easy rail-to-rail transitions, with full rails to reduce catch and increase speed through choppy or soft sections.

Ridden around the same length as your Flaming Pony or approximately 6 inches shorter than your Monsta Box all-rounder, the Flame Fish comes complete with its signature spray and unlimited speed to burn.

FLAME FISH

WAVE TYPE

The Flame Fish is our most extreme and dedicated small wave summer board. It has all the features to get you the most fun out of the poorest crumbly days. Ideal for knee to waist high waves, the Flame Fish will be super fun in anything up to 3 feet. The Flame Fish skates over any flat section and is always fast and lively in full waves.

FLAME FISH

Features

Rocker

An overall low to flat rocker is the perfect all-round rocker creating speed and glide in small to average conditions.

Fin setup

Flame FIsh comes stock as a five fin and will work equally well as a quad or thruster depending on the conditions. Alternative setups are available with custom orders.

Glassing specs

Hyfi 2.0 construction.

Rail type

Flame Fish has full rails, reducing catch and increasing speed in and out of choppy or soft sections.

FLAME FISH

CONCAVE

A specifically designed, narrow concave for the wider board. Still involving a single concave starting in the nose to direct water under your feet for lift and speed. Double concave starts in front of fins which maintains lift and directs water release towards a gentle Vee out the tail for maximum manoeuvrability.

    Excellent experience!

The board is a wave catcher and does everything as advertised in normal summer east coast waves. I will be back for more JS boards soon

    Flame Fish Review

There's not much online in regards to reviews on the flame fish, but it looked and felt great in the store. I usually ride 33L shortboards (i'm 6'0, 180lbs, intermediate +) so i wasn't sure if i should get the 5'7 or 5'6. i ended up going with the 5'7 35L, HiFi. The boards rails are nice and responsive, not fat and chunky, like some of the fishes i have. It catches waves very easily, accelerates quickly, and can lay down a hard turn. So far, i'm really happy with the flame fish and would highly recommend as one of the most fun small wave boards i've had. I'm riding it with the New Mayhem Evil Quad set up. To be honest, this board is making me want to get more JS boards!

    Flame Fishster

The Ultimate Summer Speedster , this lil ripster is an Absolute Blaster , so fast with low entry rocker and perfect bottom concave , enjoy mine primarily as quad . Board is just pure Stoke , HyFi great in small knee to waist , Rock it up waist / head with PU .. You won’t be disappointed. Both constructions are superb.

Fire Fish is more like it

Amazing the progressiveness of this board. Following suit to the wider/glider but short nature makes fun for all northEast coast waves. After trying other brands im finally set on my small + wave board.

Whats great about this board it has a range that can be taken far past the knee high level. Keep in mind, the wave type though, as long as its a softer break, you can hang with the logs out there

At times i wish the board was a touch narrower throughout, but thats partially due to the inconsistence waves we get on the northeast.

Only negative to the board, still looks brand new, i cant see myself buying another Js anytime soon🤙🏼. Good for me, well not so good for Js
